The main objective of the WRO Trauma Challenge is to contribute to the development of the skills of rescue, security, and healthcare professionals in the initial management of traumatic pathology. The objective is relevant to the different types of casualty incidents nowadays.
Field evaluation is crucial. Participating teams will be evaluated for ten minutes on their performance in trauma incidents. During the trauma maneuver, the teams have to develop procedures for observing, coordinating, assessing, deciding, and finally caring for victims with life-threatening injuries.
The WRO focuses on establishing and developing life support skills for rescuers, providing them with the necessary knowledge to fill the therapeutic gap until medical help arrives.
